Working with ISDOC or ZUGFeRD

ISDOC/ZUGFeRD is a standardized electronic invoicing format designed for easy communication between economic and ERP systems.

ISDOC/ZUGFeRD and wflow:

Documents that contain an attachment in the form of an ISDOC/ZUGFeRD file are automatically uploaded and added to wflow without extraction by Rossum. The ISDOC/ZUGFeRD format already carries information about individual fields of the document, so there no extraction of these fields required.

Due to the potential for incorrect/missing data or in case you receive a document that is not intended for your organization. Documents with an ISDOC/ZUGFeRD attachment are displayed for review section so that the data can also be validated. However, the review is done in wflow.

If you do not want to automatically upload data from documents with ISDOC attachments, the upload can be deactivated in Settings -> Organization Profile (1).

Here you will find three buttons related to the ISDOC format. To stop automatic upload, deactivate "Automatically process data from electronic invoicing formats (ISDOC, ZUGFeRD)" button.

If you wish to retrieve data from the ISDOC attachment but do not wish to retrieve the document item lines. Deactivate "Take over items" button.

If you only receive data files, without an PDF, wflow can generate a PDF file from the data contained in such file. This helps approvers and other concerned personell, to work more easily with such files.

To activate this option, choose "For a document without a PDF file, a template will be automatically generated." button.
